Tested with Plano’s truck purchase and Todd Saums’s water-correlation pilot. See the two examples
WHY I BUILT IT
Clearer needs. Better conversations.
My work with municipal buyers, contractors, and suppliers showed me the need for clearer requirements and communication. I developed Bidcurement to help buyers explain what they need, hear from relevant vendors, and compare their options.
TWO REAL-WORLD TESTS
From pickup trucks to water leak detection.
PLANO, ILLINOIS / 2021
A truck purchase.
The need
Buy replacement pickup trucks and trade in existing vehicles.
What we did
Combined trade-in videos, vehicle information, and replacement specifications for dealerships to review and respond to through the platform.
What I learned
The platform had glitches, but we had a working test of video inside a procurement process.
TOLEDO, OHIO / TODD SAUMS
A water-correlation system.
The need
Understand the vendor options for detecting water leaks.
What we did
Interviewed Todd, promoted the opportunity, recorded vendor responses, and prepared verification findings and an AI-assisted comparison based on his requirements.
The result
Six vendors. Decision information delivered in 14 days.
Timing describes this pilot’s workflow through delivery of the comparison.
HOW IT WORKS FOR YOU

More useful first meetings
“
I actually prefer these initial video meetings this way—nothing worse than wasting a whole day or multiple days just to discover we are not a good fit.
